Carmen N Capri Sr.

CARMEN N. CAPRI, SR., of Southampton, NJ died peacefully in his home on January 12th, 2018 after a battle with kidney failure.  He was 87.  Born in Hammonton, NJ, and raised in Beverly, NJ, he is the son of the late Samuel and Anna Capri, and is the Loving Husband of the late Virginia Capri. A beloved member of the extended Capri and Gibase family and the bane of any weekend golfer trying to get to the first tee at the Golden Pheasant Golf Club; these were his two loves.  As the founder and 36 year Owner/General Manager of the Golden Pheasant Golf Club, Carmen directed every aspect of the Club, converting an apple tree farm to the golf club that drew players from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and beyond.  His dearest love was that of his family – mother, brothers and sisters; then a 65 year marriage to Virginia (Nee Errickson), which led to four sons, four daughter-in-laws and seven wonderful grandchildren. His love presented itself in many ways, but especially at gatherings at the Capri home, Long Beach Island and Christmas Eve. Carmen is the Beloved Father of Gary Capri (Cheryl) of Allentown, PA, Carmen Capri (Cheryl) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Paul Capri (Donna) of Lumberton, NJ, and Michael Capri (Karin) of Emmaus, PA.  He is the Loving Grandfather of Katherine Capri, Ross Capri, Rachael Huggins (Michael), Jamie Rae Capri, Nicholas Capri, Joseph Capri and Daniel Capri.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, January 19 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 20 at 10:30AM at the SACRED HEART PARISH, 260 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ.  Entombment will follow at the Jesus, Bread of Life Cemetery, Mt.
