NORMAN E. LUCAS, SR., age 89 of Medford Lakes, NJ, a retired Insurance Underwriter at Butrus and Whelan, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA., died of leukemia on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.  He was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA, graduating from Northeast High School in 1946.  He served as a Republican Committeeman in Philadelphia, and as a Fire Marshall with the Medford Lakes Fire Department, where he lived for 49 years.   He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Lucas and his sons Mark, Norman Jr., and Glenn, his grandchildren, Sarah, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Lee Ann, and Megan, and four great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, November 4th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Woods on Stokes Road in Medford Lakes, NJ where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 starting at 11:00 AM.  If interested, in lieu of flowers, make donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 14 Commerce Drive, Suite 301, Cranford, NJ, 07016.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
