Welcome to the memorial page for

Richard William Ross Sr.

March 5, 1937 ~ July 31, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old

RICHARD W. ROSS of Marlton, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 31st, 2017.  He was 80 years of age.  Born in Manhasset, NY, he is the oldest son of the late Alfred and Annette Ross.

He was the Beloved Husband of Anne S. Ross of Marlton, NJ who pre-deceased him three weeks ago.  Richard and Anne were residents of Medford Lakes for 45 years. Richard was the Loving Father of Kathy Lane of Marlton, NJ, Richard Ross, Jr. (Cara) of Medford, NJ, Michael Ross (Karen) of Princeton, NJ, Daniel Ross (Kami) of Medford Lakes, NJ, and Kevin Ross (Allison) of Medford, NJ.  He is the Loving Grandfather to 13 grandchildren: Jonathan, Megan, Robbie Anne, and Sean Ross; David, Alexandra, and Kristen Ross; Colleen Lane; Meghan, Bridget and Ryan Ross; and Jack and Jameson Ross.

Richard was an ROTC at Georgetown University where he received his undergraduate degree.  It was there where he met, fell in love with and married his beloved Annie, who attended the neighboring Marymount College. Upon graduation, Richard was stationed in Korea with the United States Air Force.  After being honorably discharged form the Air Force, Richard furthered his education and received his masters in Business from NYU.

Richard worked his whole career in the investment industry as an Institutional Municipal Bond Salesman.  After working in Philadelphia most of his life, Richard retired from Janney Montgomery Scott in 2005.

Richard enjoyed playing golf and gin rummy, and upon retirement could be found most any day at Medford Lakes Country Club where he was a member for over 50 years. Richard was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and was an Eagles Season Ticket holder. And, Richard rarely missed watching and cheering for the Georgetown Hoya basketball team.  But, Richard’s greatest joy came from attending all his children’s sporting events.  Even while in  college, he and Anne travelled to most all their children’s contests.  He continued the tradition by attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, where he could be found cheering on the sidelines or in the stands.

Richard was a true gentleman and lived his life with dignity and honor.  He and his wife, Anne, shared in one of life’s greatest love stories, and while no longer here, their legacy will continue through the lives of their children and grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ followed by the Interment for Richard and Anne. Both ceremonies will be private.  Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the   BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ.  In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Dive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 www.BradleyStow.com
