ARTHUR COVELLO of Medford, NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was 86 years of age. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Covello and has resided in Medford since 1980, moving there from Willingboro, NJ. A Retired Lt. Col. of the US Air Force, he served from 1953 until 1975, including in the Vietnam War. After his service to his country, he worked for the McGuire AFB in Wrightstown, NJ as a public relations/information officer until the mid- 1990s. He was a graduate of St. John’s College in Queens, NY and the Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, TX, where he earned a Master’s Degree. He was a member of the Wrightstown Rotary Club from 1977 to 2012 and the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club from 2013 to the present. Art was a wonderful storyteller and photographer and enjoyed playing tennis and skiing throughout his adult life. He was an accomplished sailor and a member of the St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford, NJ. He is the beloved husband of Utta (nee Mohr) Covello of Medford, NJ and the loving uncle of Christopher Covello of Princeton, NJ and Daniel Covello of Danvers, MA. He is the brother of the late Pascal Covello. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd, Medford, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford, NJ. Interment with honors will follow at the BG Wm. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations to the Catholic Charities, 327 Mt. Laurel Rd., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
