Welcome to the memorial page for

Barbara Jean (Becker) Fritz

December 25, 1934 ~ February 23, 2015 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Barbara Jean Fritz (Becker), 80, of Medford Lks, NJ, died quietly at her home on February 23, 2015.  Daughter of the late John and Florence Becker, she was the 4th of their 6 children, born Christmas day 1934 in Indianapolis, IN.  She attended Marion College before marrying her best friend and love of her life, Louis Fritz, who together had 8 children in a 10 year span.  After living in Indianapolis and Cleveland for the first 20 years of their marriage, they settled for the last 41 years in Medford Lks.  Not only was Barbara a loving and dedicated wife and mother, but also a successful business woman.  Her home decorating career spanned over 30 years, and many local homes still showcase her creative talent in draperies and slipcovers.  But, her most important career was that of wife, mother, and grandmother to her large family.  She always made each of her 8 children (and spouses), 16 grandchildren (and spouses), and 10 great-grandchildren feel special and loved.  Barbara enjoyed hosting parties, vacationing (especially with her sibling’s and sisters-in-law families), playing cards, singing, and playing the piano.  She was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Lakes church, and she cherished her friendships with the ladies bible study group.  Barbara will be remembered for so many wonderful qualities.  She was fun and energetic, selfless and compassionate to name just a few.  This very special woman leaves behind her loving husband, Louis, her children Eileen Baitzel (Richard), Robin Russell (Chuck), Jeanine Hixon (Orrie), Ken Fritz (Karen), Greg Fritz (Debbie), Theresa Robles (Kevin), Patty Makoid (Nel), and Becky Andrews (Gerry), and grandchildren Anne, Debby, Bob, Tom, Corrine, Jim, Emily, Jill, Keith, Kyle, Sara, Amy, Neil, Andy, John, and Kelly.  She will be missed by her sister Betty, brother Bob, and sisters-in-law Louise, Barb Z and Barb J, as well as her many nieces and nephews.  The family thanks Rosalie Akouka for her love and support.  Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the BG Wm. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08055.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
