Bessie (Michopoulos) Veves

Bessie “Betty” (Michopoulos) Veves, 91, beloved wife of the late Constantine “Coe” Veves passed away at home on Sunday, June 25, 2017.  The youngest child of Dionisios and Victoria Michopoulos, Betty grew up with her sister Rita and her brother, Xenophon “Doc” in the Acre section of Lowell.  Betty and Coe lived in Lowell while raising their daughter Nancy.  In 1987 Betty and Coe moved to Marlton, NJ to be near their daughter and her husband, Chuck.  In addition to spending time with her family, Betty's greatest joys were reading fiction and playing video poker in the Atlantic City casinos. Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy Follett and her husband Chuck of Marlton, NJ, a brother, Xenophon "Doc" Michaels and his wife Rita of Nashua, NH, a sister-in-law, Ethel Veves of Lowell, MA and one niece and several nephews.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to their local library.
