DENNIS K. SLOAN, of Southampton, NJ, passed away on Friday, September 30th, 2016. He was 62 yrs. of age. Born in Lakewood, he is the son of the late Oscar Sloan and the late Janet Lurty and was raised by Harvey and Kathryn lurty of Jackson Road, Medford, NJ . Dennis has lived in Southampton since 1967 moving there from Medford, NJ. He is a graduate of BCIT in Medford and owned and operated D&D Floral in Southampton, NJ. A business entrepreneur he was named to the book of Who’s Who in 1997 and a former owner of the 7 West Motel in Pemberton, NJ. He enjoyed race car driving and owned the fastest stock bolt on Corvette in the world. He also had a passion for breeding and raising Boxers. He is the Beloved Husband of Debra L. (nee Ferguson) Lurty and the Loving Father of Dennis K. Lurty Jr. and his wife Eileen of Tabernacle, NJ, Michelle R. Butrum and her husband Matthew of Eastampton, NJ, Janet M. Lurty of TN, Stephen E. Lurty and his wife Julie of Browns Mills, NJ, Joshua A. Lurty of Southampton, NJ and Misty L. Lurty of Southampton, NJ. He is also survived by sisters Diane Wallace-Githens of Atco, NJ and Tammy Creelman of Tabernacle, NJ, his grandchildren Justin, Crystal, Skye, Dustin, Sean, Summer and Saylor and his beloved Boxers. He is the brother of the late Stephen Creelman. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, Oct. 10th from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, where a Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 6:00 PM.
