Joyce R (Ryan) Simeone

Joyce  Ryan Simeone, wife of the late Arthur Simeone, passed away at home on July 12, 2017.  Born in 1927 to the late Thomas E. and Marguerite P. Ryan of New Haven, Connecticut, she was the second of two children. Her brother, Jack Ryan, predeceased her.   Joyce had a brief career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Connecticut.  In 1951 she married her husband, Arthur, and devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and homemaker.  Joyce loved to bowl, cross country ski, golf, and embroider. She enjoyed a challenging cryptogram, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  Joyce tuned into the Lawrence Welk show regularly, she also was a fan of the music of André Rieu, and she loved hearing swing music. Joyce tap danced in her younger years, and loved to go horseback riding. Relishing her role as the “go to” neighbor for all of her friends on the street where she lived, she was quite the social butterfly. Joyce was most proud of her three children, and her loving marriage of 65 years.  Joyce leaves behind two daughters, Marguerite Eberhart of Salisbury Mills, NY, and Janet Simeone of Southampton, NJ; her son, Dr. Alan Simeone and his wife, Helga; two grandsons, Matthew Eberhart and his wife, Jennifer, of Brooklyn, NY, and Michael  Eberhart and his wife, Deirdre, of Melbourne, FL; and two great- granddaughters, Isa Cherry Eberhart of Brooklyn, NY, and Indi Eberhart of Melbourne, Fl. She will be interred with her husband, Arthur at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, in Wrightstown, NJ on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 @ 11:00 am.  Family and friends are welcome to attend a brief service at that time.  Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Bradley Stow Funeral Home in Medford, NJ.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
