MICHAEL J. VAHEY of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 30th, 2015. He was 83 yrs. of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he is the son of the late Michael J. & Sabina Vahey and resided in Marlton for the past year moving there from Medford, NJ where he resided for 25 yrs. Michael is a retired Tool & Die Maker for General Motors in Trenton, NJ where he retired in 1996 after 33 years with the company. He was an inventor and an active member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford for the past 25 yrs. He is the Beloved Husband of Virginia L. (nee Burke) Vahey and the Loving Father of 12 Children and 4 Step-Children. He is also survived by his 2 Brothers, 2 Sisters, 19 Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Harold M. Vahey, a sister, Kas and a brother, Tom. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, November 9th from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Rd. Medford, NJ where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Burlington City, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ.
