GLENNA CAY BISHOP (nee Bailey), age 52, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born in Winston-Salem, N.C., Glenna is the daughter of John Bailey (Betsy) of Lititz, of Pennsylvania, and Carolyn Mengle (Lewis) of Nashville, Tennessee. She is the beloved wife of Kevin Bishop of Medford, NJ. She is the loving sister of Gregory Bailey, of Brentwood, Tennessee. She is the sister-in-law of Kori and aunt of Naomi, all of Brentwood, Tennessee. She was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey.

A graduate of Warwick High School in Lititz, Pennsylvania, Glenna earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh (Johnstown Campus). Glenna was employed by Pfizer, Inc., for 30 years, in Groton, Connecticut and Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where she held leadership roles in supporting Pfizer’s clinical studies. While working fulltime at Pfizer, Glenna earned her MBA (Manufacturing) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Glenna was an active member of the Medford United Methodist Church, in Medford, NJ, where she was a member of the handbell choir and volunteered to support the Church’s mission trips. Glenna was also an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, where she served in several capacities at the unit, council, and national level.

One of Glenna’s great joys was music, and she played violin and dulcimer in community orchestras. She also played handbells and sang in church choirs wherever she lived.  Glenna’s greatest love was her family and she cherished time spent with family members in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Massachusetts.
