Joan E (Zimmerman) Benson

 JOAN E. BENSON (NEE Zimmerman), of Tabernacle, NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 11th, 2020.  Born in Montclair, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Edwin Walter & Elizabeth Zimmerman and the wife of the late Charles Parker Benson.  Joan was a Realtor for many years and began her career as a Secretary for a Detective Agency and then as a Secretary and Programming Director for a Local Corning, NY AM radio station.  She is the Beloved Mother of LeeAnn Benson-Ingraham (Challen) and Robert Benson (Miriam) and the loving Grandmother of Kaitlyn Ingraham and Orenda Benson.  She is also survived by her sister Doris Mitchell of CA.  Relatives and Friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Friday January 24, at 7 PM at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 166 Carranza Rd., Tabernacle, NJ.  Greeting of the family will take place after the service.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests donations to Alzherimer’s Research via the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
