Alan L Rader (age 76) of Medford NJ passed away peacefully on Friday April 5, 2024 with his wife Anne by his side. Alan was born, and lived, in Medford his entire life.
He is a Life Member of Medford's Union Fire Company Station 251 which he joined in 1963, and served at times as Training Officer and Treasurer. Alan's entire career was working in heating and air conditioning, starting at Harriett's Oil Service in the 1960's, and working at several companies over the years as both an Installer and as a Service Mechanic until his retirement. He was a good handyman, liked to tinker and could fix anything, liked to work on his cars, and was good with woodworking, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. He was always ready and willing to use these skills to help anyone at any time. Alan also had a strong appreciation of nature and liked to take walks with his wife in all of the nearby town, county, and state parks, take scenic rides through the woods and backroads, watch for and photograph wildlife, and canoe up and down the branch of the Rancocas Creek near his house with his son, and with his late Uncle Richard and late Cousin Gary. He also liked to walk through flea markets on weekends with his wife, son, and friends.
Alan is predeceased by his parents Harry "Wilton" and Mary Rader. Alan is survived by his wife of 56 years Anne (née Meade), and his son Mark (Linda).
