Elvera Rita Marie (Tarquini) McHale

ELVERA RITA MARIE McHALE (nee Tarquini), 87, of Atco, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on Friday, January 14, 2022.

Elvera had a sharp sense of humor and could always spot and join an inside joke going around the table at Sunday dinners. She was a force of nature, with incredible strength, determination, and a mischievous sparkle bundled in her small frame. Elvera quickly fired back at her brothers' (loving) teasing and reminded them that she was not above leaving them at the park to fend for themselves if they didn't behave. She always had a special treat for any niece or nephew who happened to find their way to her house after school. Elvera loved Pavarotti, she loved the shore, and she loved to laugh.

Elvera is survived by her beloved husband Thomas, of Atco, NJ. Elvera was predeceased by her dear parents, Joseph and Filomena Tarquini, her treasured nephew Anthony Tarquini, and her sweet great-great-niece Maria Filomena Tarquini. Elvera was the loving sister of Donald Tarquini (Monica) and Joseph Tarquini, Jr. (Carmella), doting aunt of Lorraine Previti (Jim), Joseph T. Tarquini III, Steven Benson-Tarquini (Nancy), Dana Lynn Tarquini, Milissa Tarquini, Tracey Tarquini (Joseph), adoring great-aunt of Joseph IV (Danielle), Michael, Nicholas, Robert, Eric (Alexandra), Christopher, Ryan, Tarquin, Jared, Noah, Iso, Evangeline, and Camile and a tenderhearted great-great-aunt of Joseph V.

Friends and relatives are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Assumption Church 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ 08004, from 10 AM-11 AM. A funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM in the church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 260 W White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009.
