JAMES MICHAEL BURKE, 81, of Marlton, NJ, passed away on May 26, 2021 at the Care One facility of Moorestown, New Jersey after a long illness. He was born to parents William and Anna Burke, on August 18, 1939 in Yonkers, New York. James graduate from Sacred-Heart High School and received a degree in chemistry from Rider University. Jim leaves behind his beloved wife Carol. He is also survived by three sons and a daughter, James Burke Jr. and his wife Kelly, Kevin, Kyle and his wife Pam, and Erin and her husband Bill, as well as his grandchildren Kristi, Sara, Katie, Megan and Liam, along with his 4 great grandchildren. James was predeceased by his parents William and Anna Burke and his sister Annmarie.. James was treasurer of the Lions Club of Medford Lakes for 8 years. He loved serving the community and helping people in need. He was drafted into the army 1962 and served with the 2nd missile battalion 84th artillery in Germany until being honorably discharged in 1964. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday, September 19th, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, New Jersey, where a Celebration of his Life will take place at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
