John Alexander Francis

John Alexander Francis, 85, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ due to complications from heart failure.

Mr. Francis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Anna (Borgesi) Francis; his son, Alfred Francis (Kathryn); five grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel (Heidi), John (Bekah), Benjamin, and Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Titus; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna-Marie Yoder, and his siblings, Elizabeth, Loretta, Margaret, Harry, Walter, Robert, Jeanette, and George.

Mr. Francis was born and raised in Darby, PA by his mother, Alma Taylor. He graduated from Darby High School in 1952. He joined the Navy in 1952 and served in the Seabees during the Korean War. After his military service, he began working at Ritter Finance Company, where he met his wife. He married her in Philadelphia, PA on September 6, 1958.

He spent his career in sales devoting himself to meeting the needs of his customers and building long-term relationships with them.

He loved reading, studying history and sharing his faith with others. He was an active member of Lakes Community Chapel in Medford, NJ.

Family visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 11:30AM - 12:00PM at Immanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 101 Medford Mt Holly Rd, Medford, NJ. A memorial service will immediately follow at the church at 12:00PM.
