JOHN FRANCIS HAMPTON, of Medford, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 14th, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he is the son of the late Francis George and Olivia Mary Hampton. John “Pops” was a proud Philadelphian who was a die-hard EAGLES and Phillies fan. Pops had a passion for music and was a member of the Philadelphia Mummers for 22 years where he strutted down Broad Street playing the bass fiddle. Other interests were watching wrestling, JFK asasination, golfing, fishing and chatting online. Pops also had a creative mind that took pleasure in writing novels and poems. John is the Beloved Father of Dawn Maria Hampton and her husband Adam Vanaman of Medford, NJ, and Elizabeth Burks and her husband Jon Burks of Bridgeton, NJ. He is the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Pops was a supportive and kind person to all of his family and friends with no judgements.
