Timothy B. Wright

Timothy Blaise Wright of Medford Lakes, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 65, from pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Nancy Wright; their daughters, Megan Wright and Emily Layton; his son-in-law Mark Layton, whom Tim treasured as a son; his siblings, Robert Wright (Valerie), David Wright, Margaret Connor (James), Theresa Marie, Mary Beth Lopresti (John), and Kathleen Jack (William); and many nieces, nephews, and their growing families. He was predeceased by his parents R. Donald Wright and Margaret Ann Wright; his brother Christopher Wright; and his and Nancy’s infant daughter Mary Beth Wright.

Tim recently moved back to his hometown of Medford Lakes after spending the last five years in Brigantine, New Jersey. The island of Brigantine had a special place in his family’s history, and he soaked up every minute of his time there with family and friends on the beach. Prior to living in Brigantine, Tim was a resident of Media, Pennsylvania, for 20 years, where he and Nancy raised their family.

Tim was born on a snowy Groundhog Day in 1961. The sixth of eight siblings, he spent his early childhood in Voorhees Township, New Jersey, until his family moved to Medford Lakes in 1967. He formed lifelong friendships in Medford Lakes, attending Neeta School and Shawnee High School.

Inspired by his brother David, Tim moved to Japan after graduating from Rutgers University. While living in Niigata, Japan, he met and married Nancy Proctor. He earned a law degree from Niigata University. Tim and Nancy welcomed their daughter, Emily, while living there. Last year, Tim and Nancy traveled back to Niigata for a special trip to walk down memory lane and revisit where their story together began.

After a decade in Japan, Tim had a career opportunity to return to New Jersey and was excited to be close to family again. After losing Mary Beth, Tim and Nancy felt a strong calling toward adoption, bringing Megan into their lives and hearts. Tim was a dedicated husband and father, and his great love for Nancy and his two daughters was evident to all, as was their affection for him.

Throughout his career, Tim brought his leadership to executive marketing and strategy roles serving companies based across four continents. His absolute integrity, business competence, technical curiosity, and professional yet personal demeanor enabled him to serve large financial institutions, governments, major card manufacturers, and other industry leaders across the globe.

Tim embraced life and cherished every opportunity to gather with those he loved, whether around a bonfire, on a walk to the Jetty, or at an Eagles watch party. He was a passionate supporter of college wrestling, especially Penn State, and a fierce Philadelphia sports fan. Tim loved attending live concerts and always filled the house and backyard with great music, frequently asking everyone to “crank up the tunes” so they could enjoy albums together.

Tim was known for making friends wherever he went. He never missed a chance to walk his dogs around the neighborhood, greeting anyone in his path. His legacy of friendship, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, July 30th from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:30 AM.
