BENJAMIN JOHN LERNER of Marlton, and formerly of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21st, 2018, at the age of 88. Born in South Philadelphia, he is the son of the late William and Lottie Lerner. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years Gail C. Lerner. Enlisting in the U.S. Army, Ben served 4 years with the 20th AGL Company Signal Corp. while being stationed in Taegu, South Korea. A Mechanical Engineering graduate of Villanova University, he became a Control Systems Engineer for Rohm & Haas Chemical Company. While working there for 34 years, Ben proudly earned his Professional Engineering License. Ben never wanted to stop learning- from being an avid reader and history buff, to teaching Engineering courses at Spring Garden College, to being a member of the L.I.F.E. Program at the Burlington County College. In his free time, Ben enjoyed water color and oil painting, trivia with friends and family and his love of all animals, especially his Grand Puppy, Zooey. Ben is the Beloved Father of Keith A. Lerner and his wife Judy, and the late Craig E. Lerner, Lt. USCG. He is the Loving Brother of Elaine, Joyce and Etta. Ben will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, September 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 8:00 PM. Interment will be held on Friday, September 28 at the BG Wm. Doyle Veterans Mem. Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
