Carolyn Perry Obituary

CAROLYN S. PERRY (Nee Schroeder), of Collingswood, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at the age of 81. Born in Collingswood, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Alfred E. & Caroline E. Schroeder. Carolyn grew up in Westmont and was a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School.  After high school, she worked as a stenographer for Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia before retiring to be a full time wife and mother. During that time, she served as Girl Scout leader for many years and was involved with the Collingswood High School Band Boosters. An active member of First United Methodist Church in Collingswood for many years, she sang in the Sanctuary Choir and served as the choir librarian, rang hand bells, made countless costumes and banners for productions, worked tirelessly with the Junior Auxiliary for the Collingswood Manor, and served on the Board of Directors for Women Alive Ministries. For most of the past 40 years, Carolyn spent her days as a dressmaker/alteration specialist. Countless clients and friends have had their pants hemmed, zippers replaced, jackets relined, special occasion dresses made perfect, and unique projects were created by her skilled hands. Carolyn enjoyed traveling with her family, including all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, several cruises, and visiting many countries in Europe. For the last 15 years, Carolyn has been a member of Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ. She is the Beloved Wife of Richard A. Perry of Collingswood, NJ and the Loving Mother of Janet E. Perry and Sandra J. Perry both of Collingswood, NJ.  She is also survived by her many cousins and dear friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, March 3 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Rd. Medford, NJ, followed by a Celebration of her Life at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be private in Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME in Medford, NJ.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family asks that donations be made to the Kingdom Vision Fund at Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Rd. Medford, NJ  08055.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
