Edna May (Bergemann) Bystrom

EDNA M. (nee Bergemann) BYSTROM of Southampton, NJ and formerly of Maple Shade and Palmyra, went to be with her Lord on April 30th, 2017.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, Edna was full of life for 95 years.  She loved her Lord and family with unceasing devotion.  Edna graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1939.  In 1942 she married her high school sweetheart, Nels G. Bystrom, with whom she lived and loved for 63 years, till he went to be with the Lord.   Along with Nels, Edna was an avid Phillies fan, listening to every game on the TV or radio.  Some of her last excited words expressed her joy over the Phillies sweeping the Braves.  Edna was the mother of Bev Patrizi (wife of Rich Patrizi) of Pennsauken, Ron Bystrom (husband of Char/Charlotte) of Plainsboro, NJ, and Renee Bystrom-Jones (wife of Rev. David W. Jones) of Marlton.  She was the Nana/Grand Mom of 8 grandchildren, and the great grandmother of 12.  Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30-11:00 AM on Thursday, May 4th, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church at One Winchester Court, Tabernacle, NJ.  A service to celebrate Edna’s life on this earth will begin at 11:00 AM at the church, followed by a private family burial.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, One Winchester Court, Tabernacle, NJ  08088.  (www.BradleyStow.com)
