Emily J (Johnson) Shaw

Emily Shaw (Nee Johnson) passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2019 at the age of 89, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her sister Edith and the love of her life, Harry. She is survived by her three children: Richard and his wife Teresa, Kimberly, and Douglas, her four grandchildren: Lauren and her wife Carisa, Adam, Erin, and Brianna, and four great grandchildren: Kaelin, Ender, Harrison, and Jasper. Emily was born to Richard and Grace Johnson in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from James Madison High School in 1948, and lived much of her life in Brooklyn, Medford Lakes, and Medford. She was very active in her church communities and served as a long time volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. Emily could be counted on for a doubles tennis partner, a shopping trip, and her intuitive wisdom. She loved her family and instilled in her children the importance of family ties, tradition, and cooking everything “with love.”  She enriched our lives with her feisty personality, strong faith, and deep loyalty. She taught us to be strong and resilient while living life with grace and style. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, July 30th from  10:00 to 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in the Parkview Cemetery in Medford, NJ.
