PAMELA WILLIAMS of Lindenwold, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was 52 years of age. Born and raised in Lindenwold, she is the daughter of the late Jack and Lorraine Williams. Pamela was a lifelong athlete, playing field hockey, basketball, and riding horses from a young age. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from William Patterson University. After graduating college in 1988, she entered the education field. Pamela worked in the Newark, NJ Public School system for much of her career teaching a variety of grade levels, until she retired in 2016. Pamela was also an accomplished horsewoman, owning and riding horses since the age of seven. That passion developed into a love of Endurance and Competitive Trail Riding, where she accrued 2,502 miles in the Eastern Competitive Trail Ride Organization and over 1,000 with the American Endurance Ride Conference. She loved spending time outdoors with her horses and learning about their care. Jokingly, she was once called the “Research and Development” department of the barn, always studying and reading up on ways to improve. Her skills at teaching and love of horses led her to mentor many new and young riders in the sport, and the amount of people who knew and loved her is a testament to that talent. It was impossible not to have a great time when Pamela was around; she made sure of that. Pamela is survived by her horse T Baaz Amir, her cat Gage, and dear friends Holly and Hugh Mac Donald of Shamong, NJ. The Mac Donald’s were the organizers of her “Crew,” a dedicated group of riding buddies, friends, and family who worked together to care for and keep her company during her illness. Pamela will be missed by all of her colleagues, former students, and everyone who had the privilege of sharing the trail with her. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, April 21st from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ. A Celebration of Pamela’s Life will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Pamela’s name to your favorite local charity, AWA Animal Welfare Association of Voorhees or Penn Cancer Center.
