William Earl Stauffer, loving father and follower of Jesus Christ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 24, 2018 at the age of 80.
He was born on April 14, 1938 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Paul and Lucretia Stauffer. Bill attended the Valley Forge Military Academy and Franklin and Marshall College and began his career as a bank teller and retired as Senior Trust Officer at PNC Bank in Philadelphia. He had a sterling reputation by clients of integrity, honesty and professionalism.
Bill is survived by 4 loving daughters, Terry Stauffer Nolan, Tracy Stauffer Currie, Suzanne Stauffer and Sandra Stauffer Scott and 10 beloved grandchildren, Ashley Nolan Sundquist, Jeffrey Currie, Michael Nolan, Lindsay Currie Angstadt, Christine Nolan, Julia Slook, Alicia Scott, William Slook, Hanna Scott and Carson Slook, 4 sons-in-love, Kevin Nolan, Bruce Currie, Guy Scott and Tom Slook and 2 grandsons-in-law, Josh Sundquist and Eric Angstadt. He was married to Gayle Hanna Stauffer for 50 years. And many Florida and New Jersey friends who will miss him very much.
Bill loved sailing the Chesapeake Bay on his boat, Bay Magic, Broadway shows, the Eagles winning the Super Bowl, caring for all dogs, traveling the world and WWII and Titanic History. He was a member of Buckingham Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers, Florida.
He was known for his quick intellectual wit, his exemplary storytelling and his kind and compassionate spirit.
A funeral service will be held Friday September 28, 2018 at Medford United Methodist Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
