Arthur J. Stengel

Arthur J. Stengel, who lived in Tabernacle, NJ, and Sea Isle City, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was 85 years old. Arthur was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (nee Edwards) Stengel. He had owned his dream home in Sea Isle City, NJ, for the past 26 years and resided in Tabernacle, NJ, for the past year.

Arthur retired after 36 years as a Project Manager for Cigna Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA. He had also served as a 6-year veteran with the US Army Reserves. He enjoyed spending time on the beach with his favorite drink, "brown water" (AKA bourbon and water), and was also a big advocate for his late nephew’s fundraiser, The Gene Doyle Fishing Tournament.

His beloved children survive him: Arthur (Joyce) Stengel Jr. of Marlton, NJ, Keith (Melissa) Stengel of St. Cloud, FL, Denise (Chad) Goodrich of Chesapeake, VA and Kelly (Scott) Hare of Tabernacle, NJ. Additionally, he is survived by his soul mate, Nancy Grover of Tabernacle, NJ, and 18 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow at LaCampagnola in Shamong, NJ.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ. Interment was private in the St. Dominic’s Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
