Charles Carlton Kotula, Jr. – “Butch”, “Uncle Butch”, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2023 at the age of 76.  He was born in Mount Holly, NJ to Marjorie Grace Kotula (nee Lurty) and Charles Carlton Kotula.

Charles was always working with his hands, whether it was repairing, just playing with cars, or realistically building anything he could get his hands on.

He was a versatile man in his knowledge and abilities.  He could fix and build anything he put his mind to.  He would utilize any knowledge he acquired to have

the capability to explore and work in many realms of the professional world.

He was a passionate and lifelong learner, taking a variety of college courses and seminars in writing, law, grants, agriculture, apiculture & botany.

He was an outgoing man who could jump behind a piano, even at a random bar but also loved the seclusion of nature.

Butch was a loyal friend to many, always going above and beyond to help those in any way he could.

A humorous man with an uncanny sense of humor, he was always joking, playing pranks and picking on everyone (lovingly) and in his own way… even down to the last moments of his life.

When he loved, he loved hard and although Butch could be a stubborn and hard-headed man, his heart never stopped caring for those he loved.

Charles made an impression on everyone he met and will not be forgotten.

Charles is the father of Clair Kotula, Kimberly Kotula Heminway- Ruble and Stephanie Kotula Hoskins; grandfather to 5 grandsons, dear brother of Kathy (John) Morris, Marjorie (James Sr.) Giberson, Carole (Bill) Clark.
