Charles Edward Lafferty, Jr., affectionately called “Butch” by friends and family, passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 81.
As a lifelong engineer, Butch’s professional career was spent at Conoflow in Blackwood, NJ, and later as a small family business owner of, American Flow and Control in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Most notable throughout his career he is credited with multiple inventions and patents including contributions to: The Methyl Mercaptan Meter, #2 Bunker Oil Viscometer, and the Spiral Conveyor Belt. In his leisure, Butch was an avid boater, fisherman, crabber, and pinochle player.
Butch is the beloved husband of the late Linda, father of Catherine Decker-McNamara, Charles E. Lafferty III, and spouse Robin, Edna J. Bond (Pidge) and spouse Timothy, grandfather of Dr. Daniel J. Dooley, Jennifer Hellen Bartella, Robert Bond, Rylee Lafferty, great grandfather of Madelyn Bartella, dear brother of Kathryn Morris-Bell, adoring uncle of Danielle Barry, Dana Barry, Matthew N. Morris, and great uncle to Mason Peacock.
Arrangements under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.
