Colette Ann Parisi (nee Flynn) of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023. She was 92 years of age. Born on August 26, 1931 in Chicago, IL, to the late Ann Marie (nee Schaack) and Howard Flynn, Colette spent her life as a beacon of love and generosity. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Colette was working towards her MSW before she married Michael J. Parisi and started a family. She would go on to spend much of her life giving to others by serving her community. Colette volunteered for animal welfare organizations and opened her heart and her home to countless cats and dogs through adoption. She also volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society (Medford) and TOUCH (To Open Up Caring Hearts) organization in Leisuretowne. Colette loved to read, cook, travel and spend time with her family. For the past 39 years she played a significant and shining role as “Nana” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Colette is the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Parisi, loving mother of Nora McAdam, Fr. Michael Parisi and Tom (Ruth) Parisi. Colette was preceded in death by her son Kevin (Shelly) Parisi. She is the doting grandmother of Michelle (Rocky) Panarella, Brian (Shauna) and Tyler McAdam, Joseph (Alexis) Carman, Rebecca Parisi and Michael Toth and dear great grandmother of Rocco, Claudia and Tessa Panarella, Owen and Molly McAdam and Oliver and Benjamin Carman. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the love she showered upon us all. Nana's spirit will live on through the stories we share, the lessons we've learned, and the love we continue to share with one another.
