Daniel Seburg LaFon

Daniel Seburg LaFon, Sr., 92, of New Windsor, passed away on March 19, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on May 7, 1932 in Covington, VA, Daniel was the son of the late Porter Aaron and Nellie Keenan (Beckner) LaFon. He was also preceded in death by siblings Aaron Lee LaFon and twin brother, David Alexander LaFon. Daniel spent many years as an educator in New Jersey. He was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Carol Anne LaFon; children, Donna Lynne Kattermann and Daniel Seburg LaFon, Jr.; granddaughters Cortney Golden and husband Michael, Katharine McCubbin and husband Michael; and great-grandchildren, Leah Golden and Marigold McCubbin. Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Saturday, April 5th, 2025 @ 3pm, Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 East Main Street, Westminster, MD. Interment will take place on a later date at New Zion Cemetery, Waiteville, West Virginia. Services and arrangements provided by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family would request memorial donations in Dan’s name to the Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 East Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
