DAVID EDWARD TRUTZENBACH, of Shamong, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 28, 2024. He was 83 years of age. Born in Reading, Berkshire, England, he was the son of the late John Edward Sturt and Frances Violet Trutzenbach (nee Walker) and step-son of Stan George Trutzenbach, and has resided in New Jersey for the past 40 years after emigrating to the USA with his family in 1984.
A retired bookbinder, he worked for a print finishing equipment manufacturing company. He attended Northumberland Heath School for Boys and at the age of 15 attended Holburn Arts and Crafts College to study bookbinding while serving an apprenticeship with Watkins & Co in London England. He later went on to study at the London College of Printing.
He is the Beloved Father of Darren E. Trutzenbach and his fiance Melissa Brett of Pemberton, NJ and the Loving Grandfather of Gavin E. Trutzenbach. Dave is predeceased by his loving wife Carol Ann Trutzenbach (nee Cook) and son Kevin D. Trutzenbach.
Dave was an amateur photographer that enjoyed traveling the world with his wife Carol, capturing and sharing his amazing photos with his friends and family--from riding elephants in the jungles of Thailand, their journey along the Panama Canal in South America and the trips to Australia to visit his biological father and get lost in the outback, to mention a few. Other great passions of Dave’s were photographing aircraft and attending several airshows each year, his Koi Carp pond, watching football (soccer) on TV and his car, a Chevrolet Impala SS.
