Dorothy Curlis (Curlis) Yates

DOROTHY CURLIS YATES, of Voorhees, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was 97 years of age. Born in Southampton, NJ, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Elsie (nee Holt) Curlis and the wife of the late Calvin Herbert Yates. She has resided in Voorhees for the past 2 years and was formerly of Medford, NJ. Dorothy served for many years as a Bank Executive for PNC Bank in Medford, NJ. She was a long time member of Medford Methodist Church in Medford, NJ.

She is the Loving Mother of Dennis Yates and his wife Donna of Marlton, NJ and Timothy Yates and his wife Melanie of Ormond Beach, FL.  Dorothy is also survived by her brothers Edward Curlis and his wife June of Stuart, Florida and John Curlis and wife Alice (deceased) Sebastian, Florida, by her grandchildren, Brian Yates Sr. and his wife Dana of Marcela Springs, MD, Stacie Cooney and her husband Michael of Delran, NJ, Matthew Yates and his wife Jacqueline of Warwick, RI, Robyn Curl and her husband Kevin of Haddon Twp., NJ, Dillon Yates and his wife Fernanda of Clermont, FL, Cody Yates of Telluride, CO, Brittany Floy and her husband Andrew of North Carolina, and Zachary Haywood of Chicago, IL, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private Graveside Service on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Jr. Mechanic’s Cemetery on Carranza Road in Tabernacle, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family would request memorial donations to Medford Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
