DOUGLAS A. PERHAM SR. of Mt. Laurel, NJ, formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at the age of 84. Born in West Paris, Maine, he has resided in Mt. Laurel for the past several years and is the husband of the late Mary Anne (nee Sessa) Perham and the late Kathleen (nee Lautenbacher) Perham.
A retired Radar Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ, Doug was a graduate of the University of Maine.
He is the Beloved Father of Douglas A. Perham Jr., and his wife Christine (nee Baker) of Moorestown, NJ, and Darlene Innocenzo and her husband Jeffrey of Towanda, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Corinne Perham, Hailey Dube (nee Innocenzo) and her husband Blake, Oliva Perham and her husband Matt Fenerty, Hannah Innocenzo, Nicholas Innocenzo, Isabel Perham, and Amelia Perham. Additionally, he is survived by his dear friend and partner Sharon Cresci.
Douglas Perham was the son of Harold C Perham and Maisy Perham (nee Slattery), born December 17, 1939 on a farm in West Paris, Maine. He was the 9th of 13 children and is survived by four siblings Margaret Turner, Mary Ann Brown, John Perham, and Martha Bryant. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf, skiing and taking long walks and hikes on the mountains of western Maine. He liked being outdoors in nature, identifying birds, trees and wildflowers with the aid of his Peterson’s guides. He was a man for all seasons. He spent his spare time working around the house and property (anyone’s). He was a skilled carpenter and auto mechanic. He also enjoyed reading and listening to classical music. Doug Perham was a well respected man, by his family, friends and acquaintances.
Services are pending at this time and are under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral in Medford, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
