Elvira Gil Obituary
Elvira M. Gil (Montemayor), of Shamong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024. She was 90 years of age. Born in Manila, Philippines she was the daughter of the late Raymundo and Catalina (Sarmiento) Montemayor, and dear sister to the late Herminigilda (Madayag), the late Lourdes (Cantillep), Zenaida (Andrew), the late Guerrero, and the late Raymundo, Jr.
Elvira was the beloved wife of the late Juan Mario Gil, loving mother of Erwin Gil and his wife Maricel, of Auburn, WA, Henri Gil and his wife Annaliza, of Las Vegas, NV, the late Rowena Johnston, Joshua Gil and his wife Collette of Medford, NJ, and Dianah Savage and her husband Thomas of Shamong, NJ. She was the proud Lola of Erin, the late Jonathan, Ashley, Marion, Brian, Uriel, Noah, Jonah, Dylan, Devyn, Elijah, Sydney, and Doria, as well as great grandmother to Jaeyla, Travis, Leokai, Bellamy, Savvy Wallace, and Illiana. We are so thankful for her great niece, Meghan for taking such good care of her.
Elvira was educated at National University in the Philippines where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She enjoyed cruising and traveling the world but loved being home with her family. She was our Matriarch, our foundation, and she will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at 9:00 AM to 11:00AM in the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Cinnaminson, NJ.
