Francis Jones Obituary

Francis Joseph Jones of Southampton, NJ passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2024.  He was 86 years of age.  Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Francis Jones and Mary (nee Crowe).

Frank is the beloved husband of  E. Berry Jones, the loving father of Merrill Hunter and adoring grandfather of Juliette and Olivia Hunter of Mt. Laurel, NJ.  He moved to Southampton from Little Egg Harbor Township, where he spent two decades enjoying the bay, ocean, and pine barrens.   He loved traveling, reading and the New York Mets.

Frank graduated from Rutgers University, Newark and later was the PR director of that university before becoming PR director of William Paterson University, where he met his wife. Frank worked for several years as a program officer at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Princeton before becoming the Executive Director of Associated Medical Schools of New York. The mission of the Associated Medical Schools of New York is to be the voice of medical education in NYS, advancing biomedical research, diversity in medical school and the physician workforce, and high quality and cost-efficient care.

In addition to his immediate family, Frank leaves a niece Sarah, and nephews Christopher and Michael.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Associated Medical Schools of New York, NY amsny.org and the Alzheimer Foundation of America, New York. alz.org
