Frank J. Michelfelder

Frank J. Michelfelder passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022 at the age of 91.

Frank was born and raised in Marlton, NJ on a large dairy farm.  Farming was in his blood.  He grew soybeans and bailed hay.  Frank was married to his late wife Dorothy ‘Dot’ for over 40 years before she passed in 2003.  Everyone always said that they were the prime example of ‘opposites attract’.  Dot was a social butterfly, while Frank was quiet and reserved, sitting on the sidelines observing.  As a young man, Frank always enjoyed hanging out with his buddies from the area, and getting into mischief.

Frank was known for his large and beautiful flower gardens.  He definitely had a green thumb with plants.  Several bird houses were placed outside his bedroom window, as this was one of his favorite hobbies.  Frank loved feeding and watching the birds.  Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was posted in Alaska.  While there, he worked on heavy machinery.

Frank was driving up until a few months ago and always ventured out for lunch each day to a fast food drive-thru ordering a cheeseburger and a shake or coke.  He also enjoyed riding around and sitting in his car while visiting old friends and various farmers in the area.  He loved stopping by at his granddaughter’s work at the farm stand to take her lunch, feed the livestock some French fries, and talk to the farmers.  Frank loved spending time with his family.  Frank had a special place in his heart for the family dog, Ella.  He loved his granddaughter Jamie dearly as well as the rest of his family.  He will be greatly and deeply missed.

Frank is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Snyder), loving father of Judy (Jim) Hamlin, adoring grandfather of Jamie, dear brother-in-law of Jane Michelfelder, Richard (Flossy) Snyder, adoring uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 10am-12pm at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  A funeral service will be held at Noon.  Interment will follow in the Mount Laurel Cemetery, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice at Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425
