George Pieter Gates, age 82 years, of Tabernacle, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Amelie Susan (nee-Wallace). Loving father of Priscilla (Thomas) Dawkins of Tabernacle, NJ, James Gates of Medford, NJ and the late George Peter Gates. Devoted grandfather of Tyler Gates, Austin Dawkins, Cameron Dawkins, Cody Gates, Dylan Gates, Shane Gates. Dear brother of Judy MacDonald (Martin) and the late Mary Gates.
George was born in Mineola, NY to George and Rena Gates. He was a Field Engineer, working on Nuclear Turbine Propulsion Systems for General Electric out of Schenectady, NY. He was an avid fisherman and boater who also loved reminiscing about his times with his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment private.
