James Whitehead Obituary

James “Jimmy” Whitehead, 68, of Tabernacle, NJ passed away suddenly on March 16, 2024. Born in Camden, NJ to Ruth A. (nee Ryan) and Thomas C. Whitehead, Jr.

Jimmy was employed by the State of New Jersey for thirty-six years as a plumber. Jimmy worked throughout Southern New Jersey. Jimmy was an avid hunter and a longtime member of the Goose Pond Sportsman Club. Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors and fished with many friends and family members. A favorite pastime of Jimmy’s was baiting deer with his buddy, Hank. During the fair-weather months Jimmy could be found making memories with the campground crew at Pilgrim Lake Campground.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen (nee Commisso), his brother Thomas Whitehead (Rona), his sisters Ruth Anne O’Toole (Patrick), and Susan Rohloff (Andrew), and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Thomas Whitehead, his lifelong friend, Earl Gardner Jr, and his first wife, Joan (nee Cornish).

Jimmy had many skills and was always the guy who would lend a hand without hesitation.

There will be a celebration of life for Jimmy at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home 127 Medford-Mt Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
