Jennifer Lee Hassel (née Carter), of Wrightstown, NJ, unexpectedly suffered cardiac arrest while sleeping on Thursday, October 7th, 2021. She was 46 years of age. Jennifer was born in Montgomery, Alabama, but has resided in New Jersey the last 30 years where she is survived by her loving family, her husband Christopher Howard Hassel, her son Jeremiah, her daughter & her husband Amanda Lee and Thomas Bramley, and the light of her life, her grandson of 3 months, Axton Wilde. Jennifer was not only a loving wife and mother but she was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. She is survived by her mother and father, Rev. Robert and Helen Carter of Montgomery, AL, her paternal grandmother Carole Pitts Woodward, her brother Bryan Carter (Leslie) and his children, her sister Daphyne Shimeall (Jon) and her children, her mother and father-in-law Charles and Lorna Hassel, her brother-in-law Lt. Col Timothy Hassel (Jill) and his sons, her sister-in-law Jodi Leeper (Scott) her sister-in-law Tonya Hassel and her daughters, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jennifer may have been taken from this Earth far too soon, but she lives on as a Hero as she was able to donate her kidneys, her heart, and her liver to four different people who now have a second chance at life because of her. Jennifer will not be forgotten and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, October 18th, 2021 from 6-7pm at the Marlton Assembly of God Church, 625 E Main Street, Marlton, NJ where a Celebration of her Life service will begin at 7pm. Donations can be made to Donate Life, Catholic Charities, and the American Heart Association in Jennifer’s name.
