Joseph W. Rowan, of Medford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the age of 73. Born on Staten Island, NY he is the son of the late Joseph A. and Genevieve Rowan. After attending the University of Miami, Joseph took a job with JC Penney in NYC, and later Curtis Circulation Co New York & Philadelphia. After relocating from Staten Island to Marlton, NJ, Joseph left the publishing industry and founded his own General Contracting business, RowanOak Interiors, LLC of Medford, NJ, where he resided for the last 40 years. Joseph’s wonderful sense of humor and quick wit endeared him to everyone who met him. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6520, as well as a 4th degree member of the John Tatham ASM 648. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bernadette (Zipprich), and sons Scott (Tiffany) and Christopher (Maureen). Joseph is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Kiley, Christina, Emily, Jake, Devon Barbalious, Amanda Hirschfeld, Great-Grandson Jordan, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his grandson Patrick and his siblings: Eugene, Douglas, Joan Hart, and Maureen. Friends and relatives are invited Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:30 to 9:00pm. at Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mount Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, and Friday, October 26, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30pm at St. Mary of the Lakes RC Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. Interment will follow Mass at Parkview Cemetery, 25 Fostertown Road, Medford, NJ.
