JUAN MARIO E. GIL JR. of Shamong, NJ, passed away at home on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the age of 85. Born in Manilla, Philippines, he was the son of the late Juan & Guillerma Gil and siblings with the late Rolando, Blanquita (Gil) Gennett , and the late Enrique. He is the Beloved Husband of Elvira (Montemayor) Gil of Shamong, NJ and the Loving Father of Erwin Gil and his wife Maricel, of Auburn, WA, Henri Gil and his wife Annaliza, of Las Vegas, NV, the late Rowena Johnston, Joshua Gil and his wife Collette of Medford, NJ, and Dianah Savage and her husband Thomas of Shamong, NJ. He was the proud Lolo of Erin, the late Jonathan, Ashley, Marion, Brian, Uriel, Noah, Jonah, Dylan, Devyn, Elijah, Sydney, and Doria as well as a great grandfather to Jaeyla, Travis, Leokai, Bellamy and Savvy Wallace. We are thankful for his great niece, Meghan for taking such good care of him. Mario was married in 1957 and began the family that was so dear to him. He was educated in the Philippines at National University where he was Salutatorian in his graduating class of 1959. He was a licensed Civil Engineer with Raytheon, Hill International, Stone & Webster, and United Engineers. He loved photography, collecting and creating art with stamps, traveling and being at home with his family. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
