Kaitlyn (O'Hara) O'Hara

A beloved daughter, fiancé, sister, niece, granddaughter, goddaughter, cousin and friend, Kaitlyn O’Hara passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27 on February 3, 2021.

Kaitlyn made everyone’s lives she touched better with her extroverted personality, silly nature and pure heart.

From a young age, she dedicated her life to helping animals in need. She worked at The University of Pennsylvania’s animal hospital, Ryan Veterinary Hospital, as a veterinary nurse in the anesthesia department.

She fostered countless cats, focusing on those most vulnerable: infant bottle baby kittens, semi-feral cats, and abandoned cats or strays. She did this with a full house of her own cats and a dog, whom she loved with her whole heart. She was thought of as the “cat whisperer” for her ability to get these vulnerable, terrified babies to open up and trust her. Her patience, dedication and loving heart is unmatched.

Kaitlyn was the splash of life and color to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was fiercely loyal to those close to her. She loved the snow, mountains, bubble baths in huge bath tubs, candles, watching “Friends” on repeat and dancing.

Her presence in our lives will be missed eternally. She leaves behind her parents, Joseph and Melissa O’Hara; her fiancé, Edward Bonen; her siblings  Jessica, Kylie and Ryan O’Hara, as well as grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

When you think of Kaitlyn, remember her kind spirit, precious heart and please celebrate all of the good memories you have of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Saturday, February 13 from 12 PM – 3 PM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford Mount Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 3 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kaitlyn’s name to Randall’s Rescue (www.randallsrescue.com/donate), the rescue she worked closely with for years.
