Obituary
Kourtney Anna Borchers, passed away peacefully surrounded by her 3 daughters on July, 15 2023 at the much too early age of 52. Kourtney was born on May 18, 1971 as the daughter of John Reavy and Jane Ramold in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been a proud South Jersey resident for the last 28 years.
Her love of humanity, literature, music, and film began at an early age. She liked to dance passionately and sing loudly, much to the chagrin of the downstairs neighbor. She was drawn to rescuing animals and spoiled her 4 cats, Lunar, Cleo, Klaus, and Aurora. More than anything though, Kourtney was an empath. She would move heaven and earth in order to make a difference in someone's life, even a stranger's. This culminated in her pursuing a career in Family Law. Her work ethic was second to none. Kourtney graduated Summa Cum Laude in High School and then supported herself by pumping gas and managing fast food restaurants to put herself through Law School at the Penn State Dickinson School of Law. After receiving her Juris Doctorate in 1996, she practiced Family Law at several esteemed firms for over 25 years.
She was a beloved colleague at the Weinberger Family Law group in the last years of her life. Her warmth and compassion were felt by everyone there, including and especially by her clients. Kourtney also dedicated 27 years of service to supporting others in the most difficult time of their lives. She was a strong, independent matriarch, as well as a role model to all. Her energetic personality and infectious laugh will be dearly missed.
Kourtney is survived by her 3 loving daughters, Anna Borchers, Abby Borchers, and Olivia Robinson, her beloved granddaughter Eliana, her father John Reavy, her stepmother Sandy Adams, her sister Kelly Reavy as well as her numerous friends and colleagues.
There will be no formal funeral service at this time, however, there will be a celebration of life in the coming weeks ahead. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, please send donations in her name to Savage Sisters. https://savagesisters.org/.
