Lawrence Michael O'Connell

LAWRENCE MICHAEL O’CONNELL of Southampton, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 84 yrs. Born in St. George, NY, he is the son of the late James S. O’Connell and the late Rita M. Grube O’Connell. Larry was a Municipal Bond Trader for many years, was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, and a graduate of St. John’s College. He is the Beloved Husband of Katheryn J. (nee Jones) O’Connell of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ and the Loving Father of Patricia A. Diemer (Mark) of Eureka, MO, Lawrence M. O’Connell of Pinckney, MI, Susan C. Walton (Mick) of Pinckney, MI and Katherine E. Crain (Greg) of Tabernacle, NJ. Loving PopPop to 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He has been a good friend to his stepchildren Craig McGettigan (Colleen), Mary Ann Mena(Jorge), James McGettigan, Jr. (Colleen), Kathleen Akeret (Robert) and Suzanne West (Mark). Retirement enabled him to travel the country in an RV with his late wife, Janet (nee Palmer), to continue to broaden his horizons with his wife Katheryn, and to indulge in his favorite pastime, golf. He has been a long-time, very faithful friend of Bill’s. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday eve from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private in the Parkview Cemetery in Medford, NJ.
