LEONA S. MORGAN (nee Dill), of Lancaster, PA, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 24th, 2023. She was 86 years of age. Leona was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith Dill and the wife of the late Arthur W. Morgan Jr. She was born in Harrisburg, PA and resided in Marlton, NJ before moving to Lancaster, PA. A long time secretary, she had worked for Holman ARI in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She grew up in Delaware County, graduating from Ridley Twp. High School and attend Penn State College for 1 year before transferring to Pierce Business College in Philadelphia, PA and graduating in 1957. She was a private secretary to an Efficiency expert and met her husband her Sr. year of high school who was her roller skating partner for dance competition. Married on March 1, 1958, they lived in Chester, PA for 1 year before buying a house in Swarthmore, PA where they lived for 3 years. She was active in church teaching and singing and also worked for Youth for Christ for 4 years. She moved to NJ in 1962 and became very active in her church. In 1979 she moved to Marlton, NJ and lived here until 2014 when she moved back to Lancaster, PA. She was an active member of Shawnee Baptist Church teaching, running youth groups, music and handling hospitality. She was also involved in the Bell Choir and was the financial secretary for 5 years. She is the Beloved Mother of Melody Davis and the late Gayle Tentaraelli and the Loving Grandmother of Kristina Davis and Melissa Allen. She is also survived by her grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to her viewing on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Jr. Mechanic’s Cemetery in Tabernacle, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, Medford, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to the Shawnee Baptist Church, 303 Oak Shade Road, Shamong, NJ 08088. https://www.shawneechurch.org/
