LEWIS MEDEIROS, of Medford, NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. He was 88 years of age. Born in Fall River, MA, and is the son of the late Jose and the late Ernestina ‘Maria’ Medeiros.
Lewis was a Chemical Engineer with Tenneco in Burlington, NJ and was a graduate of Northeastern University and a veteran of the US Air Force.
He is the Beloved Husband of Jaclyn Medeiros (nee Moquin) of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his children Michael, Richard, Michelle, and Steven. He is predeceased by his son Brian.
Lewis was part of a large, loving family of 14 brothers and sisters. He is survived by brothers James and George and sisters Mary and Beverly.
Lewis is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lewis and Jaclyn worked and raised their children in 4 different homes in New Jersey. Following retirement, they moved between 3 different homes in Florida (1 of them twice!), had a second home in North Carolina, then moved back to Medford, New Jersey to be closer to their children.
Both took advantage of the opportunity to travel during their retirement years.
Lewis was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, took on the role of ‘in-house handyman’ enthusiastically. His hobbies included woodworking, electronics and cheering on the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a prayer service will be held 9:00 PM. There will be a viewing from 9 AM - 10:30AM on Friday, February 2, 2024 in the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River, MA 02723.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM in Saint Anthony of Padua 48 16th St., Fall River, MA 02723. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleums 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, MA 02721.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests donations be made to the cancer research organization of their choice.
