Mark Jonathan Risden, of Tabernacle, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the age of 44. Beloved son of Arthur and Kathleen Risden, brother of Michael (Jan), Melissa (Kurt), Mandi (Pelar), Matthew (Diana), loving uncle of Jacob, Annalise, Elliot, Emmet, Everet, Logan and Luke. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and of course his adored cat June Bug.
Mark was born on January 18, 1979, in Marlton, NJ. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ and furthered his education at Curry College in Milton, MA. He later went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Rowan University. He was a Contractor Classification Analyst for the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury Division of Property Management and Construction. He was extremely passionate about his work. In addition, he helped out part time on weekends at Wallers Deli in Tabernacle for Rob Waller and Emily Dauria. He considered them and the entire crew, his second family.
Mark was a lifetime fan of all Philly sports. He was an avid poker and pool player. He loved collecting shells along the Jersey Shore, his happy place. He loved horses, dogs and of course cats. Of everything Mark loved, it was his family and friends that were the center of his life.
He was compassionate, loving, and always put others before himself. His infectious smile, boisterous laugh and positive personality left a lasting impression on all those he met. Although Mark’s loss will be profound, he will live on through the many lives he has touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. Interment will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery 707 Schoolhouse Road, Brielle, NJ 08730 at 11AM.
