Marlon Adams Obituary

MARLON M. ADAMS of Howell, NJ passed suddenly Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the age of 54 with his sister, Margarette by his side.  Born in Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, NM, he resided most of his life in New Jersey. Marlon was the loving son of Norma Adams and the late Honorable Judge Willie J. Adams of Pemberton, NJ.  He is survived by his sister Maria Rogers and husband Spencer of Pemberton, NJ; sister Margarette Adams of Brooklyn, NY; sister-in-law Nichole Adams of Brooklyn, NY; nieces and nephews, Adrian, Danielle, Alanah, Nile and Sage; grand nieces and nephews, Aria, Liam, Connor and Ava; and extended family.  He is proceeded in death by father, Honorable Judge Willie J. Adams; his brother, Marino Adams; and his niece Ambar Daye Adams.

Marlon grew up as an Air Force brat. Whether for his dad’s military relocation, or family road trips, Marlon traveled with his close knit and loving family across the United States. They went together through the Grand Canyon, the Gulf of Mexico, the Ozarks, the Appalachian Mountains to the Northeast.

Marlon was affectionately called ‘Rico’ or ‘Marcos’ by his family depending on his mood. He enjoyed people. He loved to play practical jokes, laugh, listen to music, sing and dance (when younger). Wherever Marlon lived he had some form of musical instrument or any object that made sounds near him. Whether it was a xylophone, keyboard, kalimbas, rubber chicken, rubber bands to strum between his fingers and his own vocal cords to hum or sing; Marlon loved the rhythm of sound. Marlon communicated thru American Sign Language(ALS). He always had a big appetite for a small frame. So his favorite ALS signing was for 'more cookie and candy’.

Our family has been blessed to have Marlon in our lives. He brought so much joy and love and we loved him deeply. His passing has been deeply felt by all who knew or met him.
