Mary Elsie (Thompson) Aldersley

MARY ELSIE ALDERSLEY (nee Thompson) of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022.  She was 96 years of age.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she is the daughter of the late George & Elsie Thompson and the wife of the late Eric Aldersley. 

History

She is the Beloved Mother of Mary E. Wilkinson (Steve) of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Louise Lagerman (Steven) of Point Blank, TX.  She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Steven Wilkinson (Amy), Timothy Wilkinson, Eric Lagerman (Liz), James Lagerman (Anna) and the late Keren Lagerman, 5 great grandchildren, Lily Rose, Luna Skye, Hunter Eric, Emma Marie, and Lana Mae.

Mary was a stay at home mom until 1966 when she moved to NJ with her family. There, she managed an insurance office. She loved gardening, painting, and most of all, reading. She was intelligent, fiercely independent and firm in her beliefs. She read the Bible cover to cover at least twice. Mary was spiritual and insightful. She was a Christian but also believed in many aspects of Eastern religions. She instilled in her children a sense of fairness, dignity, and respect for others. She will be sorely missed, but her essence and love will remain with us always and forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 from 11:00 – 12:00 noon at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon.  Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family request memorial donations to Medford Leas Employee Appreciation Fund, 1 Medford Leas Way, Medford, NJ 08055
