Mary Martin Obituary

Mary Librizzi Martin, age 78, passed away on January 21, 2021 after an 8-month courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. She died as she lived, fiercely loving others and devoted to her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Mary leaves behind her best friend, lover, and husband of 56 years, David P. Martin.

Also grieving are her three wonderful children and spouses; David (and Jacqui) Martin, Jeff (and Mary) Martin, and Christine (and Andrew) Bonaventura and eight fabulous grandchildren; Kyle Martin (and Kenzie), Ellen (and Brandon) Tusing, Zachary Martin, Anna Martin, Jeffrey Martin, Michael Bonaventura, Daniel Bonaventura, and Eliana Bonaventura.

Mary was born in Newark, New Jersey to Marie Piccirillo Librizzi and James Vincent Librizzi. She was the youngest of three children, predeceased by her oldest sister Josephine Betzner and survived by her sister Amelia Gramlich.

Mary spent her whole life living in the Garden State. Most of her married life she resided in Berkeley Heights, followed by a brief stint in Lakewood, and finally settling in Marlton for the last 16 years. But Mary’s favorite place to be, at any time and in any weather, was their rental home on beautiful Long Beach Island.

Mary was known for her love. Her love of traveling, (41 different countries!), organizing events, playing mah-jongg, supporting her friends and family, hosting parties, celebrating people, participating in women’s Bible studies, and giving gifts, prayers, and meals to others.

The funeral will be livestreamed and is open for all to view at https://zoom.us/j/96008342957 on January 27 at 11 am. Due to New Jersey State COVID-19 restrictions, in-person funeral attendance is limited and by invitation only.
