Mary Rosalie (Meloni) Rizzo

MARY ROSALIE (nee Meloni) RIZZO, of Norfolk, VA, formerly of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021. She was 93 years of age. Born in Camden, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Vito and Giovanna (nee Areni) Meloni and wife of the late Silvio J. Rizzo.  Mary was an accomplished singer in Sweet Adelines and competed at events along with her beloved sister, Helen Hart. Mary was a terrific figure skater and league bowler (averaging 175). She loved to tend begonias, wear bright clothing, and watch birds come and go in the backyard. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family and her friends. A thousand words could not describe how much she is missed.  Mary is the Beloved Mother of John A. Rizzo and his wife Monique of Norfolk, VA and Steven V. Rizzo and his wife Joanne of Portland, OR.  She is also survived by her youngest sister Dorothy Spinelli of Berlin, NJ and her grandchildren Rachel Andres, Nathan, Jenna, Thomas, Marc and Luke.  Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, Jan. 20th from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt.
