Maryanna Francis Obituary
Maryanna Francis, age 86, of Southampton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Josephine (nee Torrisi) and Alfred Nunzio Borgesi.
Maryanna is survived by her son, Alfred (Kathryn); five grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel (Heidi), John (Bekah), Benjamin (Chelsea), and Thomas; five great-grandchildren, Lewis, Luke, Titus, Chloe, and Eden; two siblings, Edna (Sidney) and Domnick (Patricia); and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander Francis, and her daughter, Donna-Marie Yoder.
Maryanna graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1956. She began working at Ritter Finance where she met her husband. They married in Philadelphia on September 6, 1958.
She had a passion for cooking, baking, and sharing meals with friends and family. She prayed and read her Bible daily, and she cherished her time as part of a local women’s Bible study. Spending summer vacations down the shore with her family was always the highlight of her year.
Family and friends are invited to her memorial service on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Shawnee Baptist Church 303 Oak Shade Road, Shamong, NJ 08088 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no greeting of the family before the service.
